BRADSHAW, GASS & HOPE WIN AT THE NORTHERN DESIGN AWARDS 2012
The stars of the northern design scene were out in force on Friday (30th November) for the 10th annual Northern Design Awards ceremony at Manchester Central.
This year’s Northern Design Awards were the biggest ever held, with organisers welcoming 300 of the north’s most respected designers and architects, plus a star-studded judging panel for a night of glamour hosted by Red or Dead founder Wayne Hemingway.
The Northern Design Awards reflect the full spectrum of design in the built environment from internal decoration and materials design to garden design through to architecture. The panel of judges is a select list of well known contemporary designers and design influencers in the industry who this year were chaired by Wayne Hemingway the famous design entrepeneur and founder of Red or Dead, one of the designer fashion outlets that defined the Manchester scene in the 80's and 90's.
The award ceremony took place at the GMEX in Manchester and was sponsered by Living Etc Magazine. Sally Anne Beesley, Architect atf Bradshaw Gass & Hope LLP described the event as 'a fantastic experience and a true recognition of execellent design and designers, an event that paid attention to every element of design in the built environment'.
Bradshaw Gass & Hope LLP was successful in the Best Innovative Design category where they were outright winners and obtained a commnedation in the Best Property category. Both wins were for the 42nd Street project 'The Space' and complete a hat-trick of award wins from the Manchester Society of Architects, the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce and now the Northern Design Awards. David Hamer, Architectural Partner at Bradshaw Gass & Hope LLP stated 'as this year comes to a close we are looking forward to bringing in the new year with Clients that have the vision and commitment to developing fantastic architecture and a quality built environment'.
